Salon & Spa Launch Playbook

Clients booking a treatment want to know what it involves, how long it takes, how to prepare and how to care for the result. A treatment menu rarely says. This playbook turns a new salon or spa’s menu into searchable service pages and practical aftercare guides.

Who this is for

Owners of new hair salons, beauty salons, barbers, nail studios and spas.

Before you start

  • The full treatment menu with durations and how bookings work.
  • Aftercare and preparation advice your staff already give clients.
  • Photos of your space and work, with permission from anyone shown.
  • Any patch-test or consultation requirements for specific treatments.

Step 1

Plan around the treatment menu

Decide which treatments need a page of their own.

  1. List each treatment and the questions clients ask before booking it.
  2. Group small treatments that share a page and give larger ones their own.
  3. List aftercare questions clients ask after each treatment.
  4. Plan seasonal content around the times of year your bookings change.

Step 2

Create service and aftercare pages

Write what a client needs before and after.

  1. Write a page per treatment: what it involves, how long it takes, how to prepare.
  2. Write aftercare guides based on your staff’s own advice.
  3. State consultation and patch-test requirements clearly where they apply.
  4. Have a senior stylist or therapist review each page for accuracy.

Step 3

Publish and link to booking

Make every page lead to a booking.

  1. Publish service pages before opening, each linked to the booking page.
  2. Link aftercare guides from the matching service page and from booking confirmations.
  3. Keep treatment names identical on the website, the booking system and listings.
  4. Add seasonal articles ahead of busy periods.

Step 4

Measure bookings by treatment

See which pages bring which clients.

  1. Track bookings that start on each service page.
  2. Check which treatment searches your pages appear for in your search console.
  3. Update pages when prices, durations or products change.
  4. Turn repeated client questions into new aftercare guides.

Common pitfalls

  • Treatment names on the website that differ from the booking system.
  • Aftercare advice that contradicts what staff tell clients in person.
  • Before-and-after photos used without client consent.
