After a plan downgrade: choose what stays active
When a smaller plan holds fewer projects, members or brand voices than you have, the extras are paused — never deleted — and you choose which stay active.
Before you start
A workspace that holds more projects, members or brand voices than its plan includes.
Steps
Step 1: Open Plan limits
Go to Settings and open Plan limits. It shows Projects, Members and Brand voices against your plan’s limits. If everything fits, it says nothing will be paused.
Step 2: Choose what stays active
Tick the projects, members and voices to keep active, up to each limit, and choose Save what stays active. If the downgrade has not happened yet, your choice applies when the new plan takes effect.
Step 3: Or keep everything
Choose Upgrade to keep everything to move to a plan that holds it all.
What you’ll see
What you chose stays active. A paused project keeps its articles, which stay editable and exportable, but it cannot generate, publish or run Autopilot; its Autopilot schedules stay paused until you resume them. A paused member sees that their access is paused. A paused voice cannot be chosen for new work. Nothing is deleted.
Troubleshooting
Something was paused that I did not choose
If no choice was saved, we keep the oldest projects, the owner and admins first, and each kept project’s default voice. Change the selection on Plan limits at any time.
“This project is paused by your plan”
Choose Choose what stays active to swap which projects are active, or upgrade.
My Autopilot did not restart after I re-activated a project
Paused schedules are never resumed automatically. Open Autopilot and choose Resume.

Create and use brand voices
A brand voice is a name and a page of guidelines describing how your articles should sound. Set one as the project default, or pick one per article or Autopilot schedule.
