Create a content brief
Research one keyword before you write: title angles, search intent, reader pain points, structure, entities and FAQ ideas.
Before you start
A project — the brief is written against its business context.
Enough credits for a brief. The button shows the cost; current prices are on the pricing page.
Steps
Step 1: Open the brief form
Go to Planning in the sidebar. Under The usual path, choose Content brief.
Step 2: Describe what the brief should cover
Under What should the brief cover?:
- Project and Primary keyword (required).
- Secondary keywords — type one and press Enter to add it.
- Target audience, Language and Target country — prefilled from the project.
- Competitor URLs or notes — anything you want the research to take into account.
Step 3: Create the brief
Choose Create brief for … credits. Once confirmed, a planning generation cannot be stopped; if it fails, the held credits are refunded automatically one hour later.
Step 4: Use the brief
When it is ready, the brief opens with its research and suggested SEO fields (Meta title, Meta description, Suggested slug). Under Ready to write? you can:
- choose Create outline to turn the research into a section plan, or
- choose Generate article to write straight from the brief — the article inherits its research, audience and search intent.
What you’ll see
The brief is saved under Planning and can be picked in the Build from a brief or outline field of the article form at any time.
Troubleshooting
“Add a project first”
A brief needs a project’s business context. Choose Create a project first.
“Not enough credits”
Your balance does not cover the brief. See Credits and usage.
I want to remove a brief
Open it from Planning, choose Delete, then Delete permanently. Articles already written from it are not affected.
